KENNETH G. (KEN) WELBORN

Ken Welborn is the founder and president of Foreign Service Fellowship International (FSF).

Mr. Welborn has had the honor and privilege of serving the ambassadors and other distinguished members of the United Nations’ foreign service community as a personal friend, spiritual encourager, partnership facilitator and frequent event host since January 1999.

Prior to establishing FSF in 2011, he served the UN diplomatic community as Executive Director of FSF’s predecessor, Christian Ministries to the United Nations, from 1999-2011.

During this time, he has delighted in building bridges of friendship, based on mutual trust and respect, with hundreds of UN ambassadors, diplomats and senior officials (as well as several leaders of the nations they represent) while finding ways to provide them with unique, timely, and meaningful support during their posting to the UN.

Before beginning his service to the UN diplomatic community in 1999, Mr. Welborn held various senior executive positions in the private sector.  Most recently, these included:

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for an international food processing company

Senior Consultant for an international management consulting firm (San Francisco, California     USA)

Mr. Welborn holds degrees from the following institutions:

The Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia USA)
Master of Science (Industrial Management)

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, North Carolina USA)
• Master of Divinity

University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, North Carolina USA)
• Bachelor of Science (Business Administration)

A native of the United States, Ken resides in Stamford, Connecticut, with his wife, Karen. They have seven children.
